Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman in business. she is the current president and owner-controller of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. The California native Buss has been raised by an affluent family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon, and later the manager of Lakers and other enterprises. When her parents broke up in 1972, she believed they had abandoned her. When she was 19 years old she inherited the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as General Manager. She later set up an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice President for the Lakers. Buss, her five siblings and brothers as well as their father, who owned the Lakers and controlled them up to his passing away in 2013, received this ownership by way of a trust. Each of them were entitled to equal the right to vote. She assumed her duties as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles which is an organization that encourages professional wrestling.
